Passengers with special medical requirement
The following persons must receive medical clearance from Iran Air before flying:

•passengers suffering from any disease which is believed to be contagious and communicable.
•passengers manifesting an unusual behavior because of a disease or physical conditions, which could have an adverse effect on the welfare and comfort of other passengers and/or crew, or could be considered a potential hazard to the safety of the flight or its punctuality;
•passengers requiring medical care and/or special equipment to maintain their health during the flight;
•passengers who cannot use the normal aircraft seat when placed in the upright position;
•pregnant passengers under  special pregnancy conditions.
If your conditions are as described above, medical clearance from Iran Air is necessary. A Medical Information Form must be completed by your own doctor and approved by Iran Air Medical Health Center. A copy of the form must be returned to the travel agent at least 48 hours before flight departure and a copy also must be given to Iran Air staff at the check-in counter at the airport.

Life –Support Equipment Onboard (Oxygen Service)
With an advance notice of 48 hours, supplemental oxygen cylinders may be provided for you on IR flights. Our cabin crew will assist you in using the oxygen cylinders. This supply is separate from our in-built emergency one. The charges are applicable. A Medical Information Form filled in by a doctor is required upon reservation to verify the need for oxygen and the rate of flow per minute.
The supply will only be available onboard the aircraft, so please make arrangements if you need oxygen while at the airport or during a transfer.
You cannot take your own oxygen supply with you onboard, and any oxygen tank you deliver at check- in must be empty and depressurized.
Stretcher Passenger Services
Iran Air provides stretcher services for individuals who must remain in a reclined position during the flight. If you need stretcher services, they are reserved for you by your travel agent. For your own comfort and  privacy onboard the aircraft ,you are accommodated  in a separate part of the cabin; not to be disturbed by other passengers.
Remember escorts are always required for stretcher cases and stretcher services are not always available on Iran Air flights operated by code share partners. Please contact your Iran Air local office for more information and charges applicable.
